Saintfield Parish

Home Groups consist of 8 to 10 Christians who meet on a rsearchingegular basis – usually twice a month – to discuss their faith, pray together, read the Bible and generally encourage one another.

The groups can be made up in a variety of ways depending on the preferences of those involved:- some are people who came through an Alpha course together, both are totally mixed male and female, young and old. Most meet in the evenings every two weeks - though nothing is set in stone. Most groups meet in the home of one of the members.

Many new Christians and those new to our parish find these groups a useful way to meet like-minded people. Lots of us, whilst enjoying and learning from traditional-style teaching sermons, also want to take part in discussion and debate – which, of course, would not necessarily go down well in the middle of a Sunday service. If the idea of joining a Fellowship Group appeals to you, you can either be added to an existing group, if one exists to suit your tastes, or, if there are enough new names, a totally new group can be set up for you. Your first port of call is to give your details to Chris, who will sort out something for you as soon as possible. If you are interested in joining a fellowship group, please speak to the Vicar, Chris.

January will see us continue looking at Mark’s Gospel in one Group and “Kingdom Life” Course in the other.
